World Children's Day 2025: Pātai for Politicians

  2. World Children's Day 2025: Pātai for Politicians

After last year's successful World Children's Day Parliamentary Forum for children's rights, we're going live again at the Beehive for 2025! And we want you to be part of it.

On World Children's Day 2024, we introduced the first Pātai for Politicians, an opportunity for tamariki to ask the tough questions to New Zealand's political leaders. Together with youth leaders and organisations, UNICEF Aotearoa Young Ambassadors, and our local MP's, we had some powerful kōrero about children's rights in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

This year Climate Change is the Agenda...

This year we're doing it again with a specific focus on climate change. Climate change is changing childhood - we see this everyday in our mahi across the globe. So this 20 November on World Children's Day, we want to know what burning questions you have for our political leaders about climate change and its impact on your rights. Are you under 18? Now is your time to ask...

So go ahead and follow the steps below

  1. Fill in the form below.
  2. Make sure you tick the check box if you'd like to be featured on our social media channels or in our marketing communications.
  3. Submit your question either in written format or as a recorded video.

Entries close on 31 October 2025!
