Did you know that your donations are tax deductible?

You can claim up to 33.33% of your total donation back as a tax credit!
For example, if you have donated $50 a month for the last year - or $600, you can send in your receipt and claim $200 back.

If you have donated to UNICEF New Zealand before April 1st, you can claim a deduction when submitting your IR526 Tax Credit form to IRD for the financial year ending 31 March 2018

When will I receive my tax receipt?

If we have a valid email address for you, your annual tax receipt for the financial year ending 31 March will be emailed to you in mid-April. If we don't have your email address, your annual tax receipt will be posted to you in mid-April.

Can I donate my tax credit?

Absolutely! Claiming on your tax and donating it back to UNICEF is a fantastic way to help even more children. If you haven’t claimed your donation tax credit before, it’s not too late! You can claim for donations made in the last four years.

Will I get a receipt for donating my tax credit?

Yes! You can claim on this donation as well!

How do I claim my tax credit?

1. Fill out the IRD 526 form and print.

2. Print and attach your 2017/18 tax receipts to the form and send it to:

How do I donate my tax credit to UNICEF?

Once you receive your tax credit in your bank account you can gift it to UNICEF in one of two ways:

1. By calling us on 0800 243 575 to donate over the phone.
2. Through your online banking (see our details below).

To ensure we can receipt you, please email support@unicef.org.nz to let us know your name, address and amount after you've made the deposit.
