U-Report Squad Leaders #YouthforChange

UNICEF New Zealand is looking for U-Report Squad Leaders to champion their U-Report program. These talented and capable young people will be the leaders of UNICEF New Zealand's youth program, U-Report New Zealand. Sign up here to be a U-Reporter.

This opportunity is open to young people aged 13-24 years, living in New Zealand.

What does it mean to be a U-Report Squad Leader?

U-Report Squad leaders would join an engaging, creative, and diverse digital working group comprised of passionate young people. You will be a responsive and active member of the group. You will partake in a monthly team meeting via a phone call or skype.

Squad leaders will be responsible for sharing and collecting opinions of young people within your schools, universities and communities to help drive the U-Report programme. You will offer your expert opinion on the best and most relevant questions for young people. You will be consistently active on the U-Report platform and encourage others to be also. You will inform UNICEF NZ about the best way to recognise inspire and reward the achievements of our awesome youth supporters.

If you are successful in becoming a youth leader you will ...

  • Join the digital U-Report Leadership Group
    o Be responsive/active in the group (i.e. respond to messages within 48 hours) o Share your ideas and provide feedback for the ideas of the team.
    o Create content for social media and web page: blogs, images, video etc.
    o Join a monthly meeting via call or skype with the U-Report Leadership team
  • Learn practical skills and receive training on how to be an effective changemaker
  • Receive a U-Report Squad Leader packBe profiled on our website
  • Have opportunities to represent U-Report through media, social media and events
  • Be part of a global movement of young people keen to make a difference
