UNICEF and FC Barcelona have agreed to extend their cooperation beyond the present agreement that ends in June 2011. We can confirm that the UNICEF logo will remain on the FC Barcelona official jersey for the 2011-2012 season, positioned below the player’s number.

For the last five years FC Barcelona has supported UNICEF to improve the lives of hundreds of thousands of children and provide global brand awareness for UNICEF. The next phase of the partnership, that is still under discussion, aims to utilize the social assets of the club in support of a global movement for education and sport that will deliver tangible results for children.

UNICEF and FC Barcelona are looking forward to taking this ground-breaking partnership to the next stage to improve the lives of vulnerable children around the world. We will announce further details in June.
