How does payroll giving work?

Your business can start Payroll Giving right now*. Simply follow these steps:

1. Tell your employees about Payroll Giving; raise the idea at a staff meeting, invite UNICEF to present, or hand out this letter. We are happy to provide resources and information, just contact us.
2. Employees (be it one, some, or all) opt to participate by donating each pay – as much or as little as they like.
3. The employer deducts the donation from the participating employees' gross pay and deposits the donation in UNICEF’s bank account with a remittance slip detailing the amount paid, the date of deposit, and your business’s name and address.

*The only requirement is that your business files its monthly employer schedules and PAYE income payment forms (EMS(IR348) and EDF(IR345)) electronically using ir-File. If your business does not have this payment scheme, you may like to make a one-off or regular donation.
