SubscribePutting Children’s Rights in the Picture
UNICEF and its partners, Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union and CASBAA, are calling on New Zealand TV broadcasters to submit their entries for the 2011 Child Rights Award. Since its creation in 2001, the award has been presented each year to the best television programming on children’s rights produced in the Asia-Pacific region. It recognizes the efforts of broadcasters in covering children’s issues through good quality programming. Programmes about children and for children are eligible and can cover any children’s rights issue. Examples include; documentaries detailing the plight of children; dramas that help beak down stereotypes or animation that teaches and entertains. Productions must have been broadcast...
