Effective, low-cost life-savers

Vaccinations are one of the best ways to ensure that children live a long and healthy life. They are simple interventions that have reduced the number of child deaths enormously.

Yet many children in the world's poorest countries are denied this essential healthcare.

5,500 children die every day from diseases that could be prevented with a simple vaccine. The deaths of these girls and boys is atrocious in this day and age.  We know how to save these children's lives.

So please donate today to protect a child from disease, using the form on the right.

$27 protects a child from 6 diseases

Because of UNICEF's global scale, we can buy vaccines in bulk and so ensure that the cost of immunising a child is low.
  • $27 protects a child from 6 killer diseases;

  • $50 vaccinates 125 children against measles;
  • $108 protects 4 children from disease.

How your donation will save children

We promise to use your support to achieve amazing things.

You could help to immuise a child in a warzone. Just last year in Afghanistan, UNICEF negotiated with warring parties to hold a 4 day ceasefire so we could safely immunise 7.6 million children.

You could help to immunise a child in an emergency. When disaster strikes, vaccinating children is one of UNICEF’s first steps. In the children’s famine in the Horn of Africa, UNICEF has already immunised over 1.2 million children against measles.

Over the last decade alone, UNICEF and partners have vaccinated over 900 million people against measles. But there is so much more to do. Please help us reach children with life-saving vaccines and prevent the 5,500 deaths of children that occur every day.
